Eagles Autism Foundation and Philadelphia Eagles Partner with Cobbs Creek Foundation and TGR Foundation to Create Sensory-Friendly Room for West Philadelphia Students

Partnership will fund a wellness room for students at Smilow Woodland TGR Learning Lab.

February 26, 2026 - The Philadelphia Eagles and Eagles Autism Foundation are partnering with the Cobbs Creek Foundation and TGR Foundation to create a sensory friendly, quiet room for neurodiverse students who participate in educational programming at the Smilow Woodland TGR Learning Lab which opened in April 2025 on the grounds of the Cobbs Creek Golf and Education Campus.

Together with its partners, Cobbs Creek Foundation is building Philadelphia’s newest amateur and professional sports venue — one rooted in excellence, access, and a deep commitment to giving back to the community. This groundbreaking private-public partnership in sports and education brings together mission-driven organizations committed to expanding access, opportunity, and community impact in West Philadelphia.

The Philadelphia Eagles organization is a proud supporter of this innovative model. Equipped with specialized resources and thoughtful design elements, the Wellness Room reflects a shared commitment to creating inclusive educational experiences where every learner can feel safe, supported, and empowered to succeed.

“Sensory rooms play a crucial role in fostering an inclusive, accessible environment for everyone,” said Ryan Hammond, Executive Director, Eagles Autism Foundation. “The Eagles Autism Foundation is committed to supporting experiences that both serve and inspire the neurodiverse community. We thank the Cobbs Creek Foundation – a proud Eagles Autism Foundation community grant recipient – for their leadership and look forward to working with them to ensure those with sensory challenges have the resources they need to feel supported.”

“We are thrilled to collaborate with the Philadelphia Eagles and Eagles Autism Foundation,” said Jeff Shanahan, President of the Cobbs Creek Foundation. “The Wellness Room will be a vital resource for students with diverse learning needs, providing a calm and welcoming space to learn and grow. Together, we are building a stronger, more inclusive community and reinforcing our shared vision of educational equity and opportunity.”

“At TGR Foundation, we believe in a world where opportunity is universal and potential is limitless,” said Meredith Foote, Executive Director, TGR Learning Lab Philadelphia. “We are excited to partner with the Philadelphia Eagles and Eagles Autism Foundation to bring this space to life.”

The Smilow Woodland TGR Learning Lab at Cobbs Creek provides free, year-round educational opportunities for local youth in grades 1-12, including STEAM courses, tutoring, college prep, and career-connected learning experiences. Part of the larger Cobbs Creek Golf and Education Campus, the Philadelphia location joins TGR Foundation’s flagship Lab in Anaheim, California in advancing Tiger Woods’ vision of creating safe spaces for kids to learn, grow, and pursue their passions through education.

The Cobbs Creek Foundation is spearheading the revitalization of the historic public golf course. The Lincoln Financial Center at Cobbs Creek, which houses the split-level driving range, pro shop and Little Horse Tavern restaurant, opened in December. The Q School, a 9-hole short course designed by TGR Design, will open to the public in 2026.

The Cobbs Creek campus will continue opening in phases with the championship 18-hole course set to reopen in 2027 and the 9-hole Karakung course set to reopen in 2028.
